Job summary

Ellucian Company LLC seeks a Manager of Data Architecture to lead a team responsible for enterprise data solutions across Snowflake, Informatica and dbt. You will shape architecture standards, governance and scalable data models, partnering with business, product and technology teams to enable self-service analytics and predictive insights.

You will mentor staff, drive data governance and stay current on cloud data trends, data mesh, and AI-enabled analytics in a 100% remote role with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems / CS or related field.
• 60 months of enterprise data architecture, data engineering or BI development experience.
• At least 2 years in a leadership/managerial role.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift or Databricks).
• Experience with modern data stack tools (Informatica, dbt, Airflow).
• Ability to translate technical architecture into business value.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Gainsight and ServiceNow.
• Proven ability to build scalable, governed data platforms and manage stakeholder expectations.

About the Opportunity

Ellucian Company LLC has a F/T opening for Manager, - Data Architecture, Data & Analytics Office in Reston, VA 20191 (HQ. Duties are to lead and manage a team of data architects responsible for designing and implementing enterprise data solutions across platforms like Snowflake, Informatica, and dbt.Define and evolve Ellucian’s enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and governance frameworks to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. Oversee the development of scalable data models, pipelines, and integration patterns that support structured and semi-structured data sources. Partner cross-functionally with business, product, and technology teams to align data architecture with strategic goals and enable self-service analytics and predictive insights. Ensure data platform scalability, performance, and compliance with data governance, lineage, and security standards. Provide architectural leadership for data visualization and embedded analytics solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and other tools.Stay current on emerging trends in cloud data architecture, data mesh, generative AI, and modern data governance technologies. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 100% remote position – home benefits available. Annual salary:$236,246.00. Requires a Bachelor’s or its foreign equivalent in Info Systems, Info. Management, Computer Science, or Info. Technology or closely related discipline. Higher degree accepted but not required plus 60 months’ experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, or BI development, with at least 2 years in leadership or managerial role and 3 years' experience in each of the following: with cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift or Databricks) and modern data stack tools (e.g., Informatica, dbt, Airflow etc.), in translating technical architecture into business value, with enterprise business systems such as Salesforce, Gainsight, and ServiceNow, in building scalable, governed, and future-ready data platforms, in stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
