KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Data and AI Architecture to join our Clients and Markets organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural design, strategy, and hands-on technical execution of scalable data pipelines and multi-tiered architectures using Databricks and Medallion Architecture, integrating Salesforce (Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud)
• Define and build governed Semantic Layers and Unity Catalog Metric Views to establish enterprise data models that power conversational analytics, CRM reporting, and AI products
• Spearhead the implementation and rollout of Databricks Genie spaces, conversational analytics, and Databricks Apps, defining best practices for AI-driven data consumption across marketing and sales
• Partner with senior business and tech stakeholders to translate strategic requirements into technical blueprints, while actively mentoring and upskilling offshore engineering teams to scale hands-on delivery
• Proactively manage technical dependencies, roadmap milestones, and engineering quality across distributed teams, identifying architectural risks and driving governance reviews; champion and enforce data governance, lineage tracking, security, and ethical AI standards in collaboration with centralized AI Data Catalyst and architecture teams
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum eight years of recent progressive experience in Data Engineering & Platform Architecture, with a track record of balancing hands-on technical delivery with strategic workstream leadership
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a related field
• Deep technical expertise in Databricks, Spark, SQL, Python, Medallion Architecture, Unity Catalog, and modern cloud integration patterns
• Proven experience architecting and integrating Salesforce data environments (Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Data Cloud) with enterprise lake houses
• Strong leadership in AI/GenAI concepts, semantic modeling, conversational analytics (for example, Databricks Genie), and experience guiding or upskilling distributed/offshore development teams
