KPMG LLP is hiring an AI Architect to join the Audit Technology Alliance. You will lead architectural design and strategy for our generative AI platform and mentor a team of engineers, guiding multiple squads through implementation with a focus on scalable, auditable AI solutions.

You will collaborate with data scientists and product leaders to translate objectives into concrete blueprints, ensure high-quality outputs, and drive adoption of advanced evaluation frameworks.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in software engineering and architecture, leading complex data-intensive AI systems in an enterprise
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in CS/Engineering or related field
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in future

KPMG is currently seeking an AI Architect to join our Audit Technology Alliance organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for major components of our generative AI platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with the product vision
  • Partner with senior engineering managers, product leaders, and data scientists to translate strategicobjectivesinto executable architectural blueprints, guiding multiple development teams through implementation
  • Drive the adoption of superior engineering standards and advanced AI evaluation frameworks likeLangSmith, taking ownership of the quality and verifiability of system outputs
  • Spearhead technical solutioning for the platform's most complex challenges, making critical decisions on the use of AKS with KEDA,LangGraph, and our core context engineering engine
  • Mentor and cultivate a team of associate architects and senior engineers,establishinga culture of technical excellence and acting as a key decision-maker for significant architectural challenges
  • Own and executea significant portionof the technology roadmap, actively researching and integratingcutting-edgeAI agent patterns to keep the platform at the forefront of innovation
  • Act with integrity, professionalism and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum twelve years of recent experience in software engineering and architecture, with a proventrack recordof leading the design of complex, data-intensive AI systems in an enterprise environment
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred
  • Deep, hands-onexpertisewith Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph, Semantic Kernel), and building sophisticated RAG pipelines with tools like Azure AI Search
  • Mastery of Agile methodologies and extensive experience creating and managing robust CI/CD pipelines for microservices using Azure DevOps and Git
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve ambiguous and complex technical problems at scale, providing clear, decisive guidance and direction to high-performing engineering teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex architectural concepts, trade-offs, and decisions to technical teams and executive stakeholders (200TEC)
