Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery in Burbank seeks a Title & Credits Administrator to manage titles, registrations, protests and waivers, and to prepare on-screen and advertising credits in line with contracts and guilds.

You will coordinate with the Director, Credits & Titles, the TRB, and other departments, maintain the in-house title database, generate reports, and ensure compliance with studio policies.

Experience in entertainment credits and familiarity with TRB is required; a BA/BS is expected.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the entertainment industry.
  • Experience managing titles and the TRB.
  • Experience with legal, business affairs and credit administration.
  • Minimum of five years of professional work experience, including at least three years in credits and/or title administration.
  • BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Researches proposed titles to determine whether to register as an original, copyright or remake prior to registration.
  • Reviews daily Title Reports and works with the Director, Credits & Titles for determination regarding protests, and ensures all registrations, protests and waivers are recorded.
  • Inputs all title registrations, protests and waivers for Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, Warner Bros Pictures Animation, and Clockwork, and logs in the Title Registration Bureau’s online program.
  • Researches and prepares weekly/monthly title status reports, including tracking registrations, protests, clearances and arbitrations.
  • Maintains in-house title database; coordinates data entry, log maintenance and report distribution.
  • Interfaces with the MPA Title Registration Bureau (TRB) and title representatives from other subscribers to the TRB.
  • Requests legal clearance for titles as necessary.
  • Assists the Director, Credits & Titles and attorneys in preparing materials for title arbitration.
  • Reviews contracts and guild agreements for drafting main and end titles and advertising billing documents.
  • Drafts and edits main titles, end titles and advertising billing documents for distribution to filmmakers and departments.
  • Reviews successive rounds of titles on assigned pictures through final approval.
  • Responds to questions from filmmakers and departments regarding layouts of on-screen and billing blocks.
  • Assists with special credit requests and coordinates approvals across departments.
  • Interfaces with Production, Post Production, attorneys, guilds for compliance with policies.
  • Obtains waivers from DGA, WGA, Local 800 and other guilds as necessary.
  • Submits title documents to guilds for approval and addresses disapprovals.
  • Maintains picture files and ensures delivery items on negative pickups.
  • Coordinates with WB Marketing to ensure compliance with obligations for advertising materials.
  • Oversees credit logs and final documents, providing guidance and quality review.

Your New Role...

Titles and credit management for theatrical motion pictures. Responsible for title research, registration, protests and waivers, and for the preparation and administration of on-screen and advertising credits on pictures as assigned, in accordance with contractual obligations, guild requirements and studio policy. Works under the direction of the Director, Credits & Titles, who serves as Warner Bros.’ Title Representative to the MPA Title Registration Bureau, and works closely with the Administrator, Credits & Titles.

Your Role Responsibilities...
  • Researches proposed titles to determine whether to register as an original, copyright or re-make prior to registration.

  • Reviews daily Title Reports and works with the Director, Credits & Titles for determination regarding protests, and assures that all title registrations, protests and waivers have been recorded.

  • Inputs all title registrations, protests and waivers for Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, Warner Bros Pictures Animation, and Clockwork, and logs as necessary on the Title Registration Bureau’s ("TRB") online program.

  • Researches and prepares weekly/monthly title status reports, including tracking all title registrations, protests, clearances and arbitrations.

  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of the in-house title database; coordinates with the Administrator, Credits & Titles on data entry, log maintenance and report distribution.

  • Interfaces with the MPA Title Registration Bureau (TRB) and title representatives from other subscribers to the TRB.

  • Requests legal clearance for titles as necessary.

  • Assists the Director, Credits & Titles and attorneys in preparing materials for title arbitration.

  • Reviews personal service contracts and guild agreements for drafting main and end titles and advertising billing documents for all of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group.

  • Drafts and edits main titles, end titles and advertising billing documents for distribution to filmmakers, attorneys and various departments for use in creating main and end credits for the screen and advertising materials.

  • Reviews successive rounds of main and end titles on assigned pictures through final approval.

  • Responds to questions and comments from filmmakers, various departments and vendors regarding the implementation and lay-out of on-screen and billing block credits.

  • Assists with special credit requests from filmmakers and coordinates with Business Affairs, production and other departments for approval of said requests.

  • Interfaces with Production, Post Production, attorneys, guilds and various departments to assure compliance with studio policies and guild requirements.

  • Obtains various waivers from DGA, WGA, Local 800 and other guilds as necessary.

  • Submits main and end title documents to the various guilds for approval and addresses any disapprovals.

  • Maintains picture files and assures receipt of delivery items on negative pick-ups.

  • Reviews and interfaces with the WB Marketing Department to assure adherence to contractual obligations and guild requirements for advertising materials.

  • Reviews the work of the Administrator, Credits & Titles on assigned pictures, including credit logs, distribution of draft and final credit documents, guild submissions, file maintenance and delivery tracking; provides day-to-day guidance and quality review.

Qualifications & Experience...
  • Prior experience in the entertainment industry required.

  • Prior experience with the management of titles and the TRB required.

  • Prior experience with legal, business affairs and credit administration required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience, including a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in credits and/or title administration, Business Affairs, Legal Affairs or an equivalent entertainment industry function.

  • BA/BS degree required.

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.

  • Must have experience with the Title Registration Bureau's (TRB) database program.

  • Must have the ability to grasp legal concepts.

  • Must have the ability to understand and interpret both guild and personal service agreements.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $75,261.00 - $139,770.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
