Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Mortgage is seeking a Manager-Corporate Finance & Treasury to lead treasury operations, liquidity management, and external debt covenant reporting. The role requires strong accounting, financial modeling, and treasury controls experience within the mortgage industry.

The candidate will own bank governance, cash forecasting, and intercompany movements while partnering with Accounting, FP&A, and Capital Markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of related professional Accounting/Finance experience.
  • CPA,CTP, FP&A,or similar professional designation preferred
  • Mortgage industryexperience preferred
  • Proficient in accounting andfinancial management software and Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for banking platform partners.
  • Own the Company's bank account governance framework, including account establishment, maintenance, closure, and periodic review processes.
  • Maintain and administer bank account access governance, including user provisioning, periodic access certifications, role reviews, and segregation of duties requirements.
  • Oversee GNMA custodial account liquidity management and compliance with applicable operational and funding requirements.
  • Establish, document, and enforce treasury-related fraud prevention controls, including payment verification procedures, wire controls, approval workflows, and monitoring activities.
  • Design and maintain payment approval workflows and supporting documentation standards to ensure appropriate authorization, transparency, and auditability of cash movements.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance treasury policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard Company assets and support regulatory, audit, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Manage and optimize daily cash positioning across all entities to ensure efficient liquidity, and develop forecasting processes for liquidity needs.
  • Coordinate intercompany cash movements to support efficient liquidity management and funding needs across legal entities.
  • Own the design, maintenance, and rationalization of bank account structures; enforce wire and ACH governance processes.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize working capital and financing and banking platforms capabilities.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly debt covenant reporting and condensed GAAP statements for regulators.

Responsibilities
Treasury Operations & Controls

  • Develop,maintain, and enhance short-term cash flow forecasting processes, including daily, weekly, and monthly liquidity forecasts
  • Coordinate intercompany cash movements to support efficient liquidity management and funding needs across legal entities
  • Own the design, maintenance, and rationalization of the Company's bank account structure to support operational efficiency, control requirements, and minimization of idle cash balances
  • Establish and enforce wire and ACH governance processes, including payment approval structures, authorization controls, cut-off management, and escalation procedures
  • Identifyand evaluate opportunities tooptimizeworking capital, including migrating vendor payments to credit card spend, exploring alternatives for travel and expense (T&E) management, and assessing other financing and banking platformcapabilities
ExternalDebt CovenantReporting
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly debt covenant reporting using financial information prepared by the controller function and other internal contributors
  • Preparecondensed US GAAP balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement on a quarterly basisfor regulators usingtrial balance providedby the controller function
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead annual financial planand monthly financial re-forecastprocess,developingkeyinputs with stakeholders andanalyzing historical and current trends toassessotherbudget assumptions
  • Usebudgeting, financial forecasting and modeling tools toforecastbalance sheet positions over the forecast period, includingliquidity and capitalpositions
  • Implement department-level budgets for corporate functions,facilitatingthenear-term and long-term planning for these functions andenablingappropriate allocationsbased on cost-drivers
  • Create forward-looking financial models and analyses to support key future growthopportunitiesand strategic projects
Systems & Process Optimization
  • Develop treasury reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators to support executive decision-making and liquidity oversight
  • Review and enhance treasury processes, structures, and systems to drive simplification, standardization, automation, and scalability
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Capital Markets, Servicing, and Operations to ensure treasury activities are integrated into broaderfinancial managementprocesses
  • Support treasury-relatedand FP&A-relatedtechnology initiatives, banking platform enhancements, and process improvement projectswith research, planning, and implementation, asrequired
  • Identify, recommend, and execute on improved budget and forecasting methods tooptimizenear and long-termliquidity and capitalplanning
  • Assistbusiness leaders withidentifyingand trackingkey financial performance indicators and objectives
  • Supportsenior management team and operations leadership with in-depth analysis of core and ad hoc capital management projects
