Job summary

Foster McKay is seeking a dynamic Corporate Accounting Manager to lead month-end closes and oversee daily general ledger operations. You will review journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany activity, while driving process improvements and automation.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulations.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP and Lease Query is a plus.
• Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Must be accountable, team player, and work with urgency.
• Ability to manage multiple high-volume transactions with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist month-end close to ensure timely, accurate journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries incl. accruals, intercompany, FX/CTA, depreciation, amortization.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Identify process improvements and drive automation.

• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and tax consultants.
• Collaborate with FP&A for monthly/quarterly forecasting of assets/liabilities.

Our client is looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful Manager of Corporate Accounting to join its team. The Corporate Accounting Manager will be detail oriented and assist in preparing month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations and overseeing the general ledger accounting daily operations.

What would I be doing?

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

• Assist with month-end close preparation to ensure timeliness and accuracy of journal entries and deliverables.
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries including expense accruals, prepaids, deposits, capital expenditures, intercompany transactions, FX/CTA, debt interest, corporate and divisional cost allocations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations including proper supporting documentation, variance and flux analysis, and timely checklist completion.
• Identify accountings areas for process improvements, streamlining and automation.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, schedules and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist and coordinate with internal and external audit requests, tax consultants, and other service providers with PBC request.
• Partner with FP&A in preparation of the monthly and quarterly forecasting for Depreciation & Amortization and ROU Assets & Liabilities
• Work cross functionally with various business partners (FPA, IT, Legal, AP, HR, Payroll, Tax, Treasury and IT) on processes, policies, key system improvements and initiatives.
• Help manage and maintain lease portal (Lease Query) in compliance with lease accounting standards (ASC 842), facilities and related allocations, analysis, and rent loader/statement review and approval.
• Provide supervision and guidance to assigned staff with day-to-day operations, complex and technical accounting tasks and issues, as well as personal and professional growth.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned

• Proven experience as Accounting Manager or other similar position.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with SAP, and Lease Query a plus.
• Familiarity with lease accounting under ASC 842.
• Must show accountability, be a team player and operate with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work with a high volume of transactions and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
• Forward-looking thinker who can articulate the need for and implement process improvements.
