Job summary

RTX seeks a Manager, Contracts to support the Global PATRIOT Asia Pacific Contracts Team within the Land and Air Defense Systems business unit. The role focuses on proposal activity and contract execution for Korea PATRIOT, including US Army FMS and DAPA international sales.

You will advise on negotiations, draft and manage contract documents, ensure ITAR/EAR compliance, coordinate with program teams, review Terms and Conditions, and support risk mitigation and accounts receivable processes.

Qualifications

• Requires university degree or advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience administering U.S. Government FMS contracts under FAR/DFARS or International Direct Commercial Sale.

Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts supporting the Global PATRIOT® Asia Pacific Contracts Team within the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This position focuses on proposal activity and contract execution for the Korea PATRIOT® product line. The portfolio includes Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts with the US Army and International Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) contracts with Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) in Korea. This role will be an integral part of the business teams, supporting strategic solutions, and providing dynamic recommendations for proposal, negotiation, and execution issues. The candidate should be an effective communicator, highly motivated, and well-organized who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

What You Will Do

• 10-25% domestic and international travel to Asia Pacific Region
• Advise and/or represent the organization on contract negotiation and administration matters
• Draft, interpret, and manage contract documents in support of Contracts and the Business Unit
• Comply and support any Import / Export (ITAR/EAR) compliance requirements
• Facilitate and ensure constant communication and coordination with the internal/external customer program team
• Participate in the review, analysis, and negotiation of Terms and Conditions
• Adhere to and comply with standardized corporate procedures and compliance documentation
• Respond to stakeholder inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
• Disseminate (“Flowdown”) customer contractual requirements within the organization
• Act as liaison between internal and external customers
• Perform proposal management and business risk mitigation
• Perform Accounts Receivable management
• Work autonomously with limited oversight and may provide input or guidance to lower-level professionals with tasks and assignments
• Multi-task routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge

Qualifications: You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
• Experience in administering U.S. Government FMS contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) or International Direct Commercial Sale contracts (to include proposals, contract negotiation, change management, and execution)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with direct engagement with external customers
• Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, including customers and leadership teams.
• Mature judgment, proactive involvement in strategic issues and problem resolution skills

Benefits

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
