Job summary

Terabase Energy is seeking a Manager, Portfolio Delivery to lead a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators across a portfolio of utility‑scale solar projects. You will drive execution quality, governance, and scalable processes while partnering with Product, Data Operations, Sales, and Customer Success.

You will balance strategic thinking with operational rigor, developing people, ensuring predictable delivery, and strengthening customer partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Energy, Operations, or related field
  • 8–10+ years of experience in project delivery, operations, construction technology, renewable energy, or adjacent industries
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing PMs or equivalent delivery organizations
  • Demonstrated success leading distributed or cross-functional teams
  • Strong experience managing portfolios rather than solely individual projects
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Primavera P6, Cora, Wrike, Project Insight, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple customers and programs
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the year, primarily domestic

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators
  • Establish career ladders, development plans, succession planning, and performance expectations
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and calibration exercises
  • Drive accountability through measurable team goals and operational KPIs
  • Foster a culture of ownership, execution excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Establish and drive portfolio‑level metrics across schedule, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, utilization, and financial performance
  • Ensure projects are appropriately staffed and balanced across PM levels
  • Establish operating rhythms for project reviews, escalation management, and decision making
  • Define portfolio reporting and visibility into project status, risks, capacity, and forecasts
  • Serve as escalation point for delivery issues and customer concerns
  • Partner with PMs to resolve complex execution blockers
  • Ensure delivery teams maintain exceptional customer engagement throughout project lifecycle
  • Support executive customer relationships and participate in strategic customer discussions

Job Description

As the Manager, Portfolio Delivery within the Terabase Construct Operations organization, you will report to the Director, Operations & Delivery and lead a team of Project Managers at various experience levels and Project Coordinators responsible for successful customer delivery across a portfolio of utility‑scale solar projects. This role is accountable for the overall health, execution quality, operational consistency, and scalability of the Project Management function. You will oversee team performance, customer outcomes, portfolio governance, resource planning, process maturity, and cross‑functional execution across Product, Data Operations, Capture Technology, Sales, Finance, & Customer Success. Success in this role requires balancing strategic thinking with operational rigor: developing people while ensuring predictable execution, high‑quality delivery, scalable processes, and strong customer partnerships.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of diversely experienced Project Managers and Project Coordinators
  • Establish career ladders, development plans, succession planning, and performance expectations
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and calibration exercises
  • Drive accountability through measurable team goals and operational KPIs
Hiring, Onboarding, Workforce Planning, and Organizational Design
  • Foster a culture of ownership, execution excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Portfolio Governance & Delivery Excellence
  • Establish and drive metrics on portfolio‑level health across schedule, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, utilization, and financial performance utilizing the TBE preferred PPM platform
  • Ensure projects are appropriately staffed and balanced across PM levels
  • Establish operating rhythms for project reviews, escalation management, and decision making
  • Define portfolio reporting and visibility into project status, risks, capacity, and forecasts
  • Serve as escalation point for delivery issues and customer concerns
  • Partner with PMs to resolve complex execution blockers
Customer Delivery & Strategic Partnerships
  • Ensure delivery teams maintain exceptional customer engagement throughout project lifecycle
  • Support executive customer relationships and participate in strategic customer discussions where required
  • Drive consistency in customer communications, project governance, and delivery standards
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen account health in partnership with Sales
  • Represent customer priorities as the voice of the customer to Product and Operations leadership to enable a feedback loop
Operational Excellence & Process Standardization
  • Develop and maintain PM standards, workflows, templates, and governance frameworks
  • Improve project lifecycle processes from intake through closeout
  • Establish quality controls across project setup, reporting, change management, documentation, and customer deliverables
  • Partner with Operations and Product teams to identify automation opportunities and reduce operational burden
  • Drive implementation and adoption of delivery tooling and systems
Cross‑Functional Execution
  • Align delivery strategy with product roadmap, Data Operations, Capture Technology, and Customer Success initiatives
  • Coordinate execution priorities across functions and remove organizational friction
  • Support deployment of new products, workflows, and service offerings
  • Lead retrospectives and institutionalize lessons learned
Business Operations & Planning
  • Support annual planning, forecasting, and budget development
  • Monitor team utilization, delivery capacity, and hiring needs
  • Define operational metrics and dashboards to improve predictability and execution
  • Contribute to organizational strategy and long‑term scaling initiatives
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in engineering, project management, operations, or related field
  • PMP, PgMP, PMI‑ACP, or equivalent certification
  • Experience in PMO, delivery, or customer operations functions
  • Experience supporting utility‑scale solar, construction technology, GIS, remote sensing data, or data delivery environments
  • Familiarity with financial planning, resource forecasting, and operational KPIs
Benefits

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This role offers a base salary of $100,000–$140,000. Within each posted range, individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher), dependent on work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
