Onvida Health is seeking a Coding Manager responsible for overseeing coding workflow in Epic, education on coding practices, and managing coding teams. Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.
Min = $68,188.30
Mid = $88,644.78
Max = $109,101.27
Summary:
The Coding Manager controls the coding working flow in Epic; Assists Coders in the correct selection of ICD-10-CM and CPT codes to ensure timely and accurate coding of patient accounts; Ensures Coders have access and understand the use of Epic, 3M, and Encoder ProPlus; Ensures that Physicians, Physician Coder Liaison, and PFS understand E/M audits and charge capture issues; Maintains coding competency to perform accurate coding and billing; Monitoring and reporting of HIM Coding team goals.
Responsibilities:
Monitors and reports on key coding metrics, to include Coding Days.
Educates coders, physicians, and PFS on coding issues to ensure correct and compliant payment.
Ensures standardization of coding processes across all established work queues.
Participates and assists IT with new work queue set up as new providers are on boarded.
Manages coders and workloads between YRMC coders and vendor coders.
Codes and bills patient accounts in work queues as the need arises.
Other duties as assigned.
Credentials:
Essential:
* CERTIFIED CODING SPECIALIST (CCS)
* CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL CODER (CPC)
Education:

* HS DIPLOMA/GED
Other information:
REQUIRED: High School Equivalency Diploma and 5+ years related; 1+ years supervisory experience; CCS or CPC required.
