Position Summary
Plans, implements and oversees the administrative and operational support of the clinical services program to meet the social and emotional needs of children and their families, and evaluates for changes to improve care for children. Collaborates with child welfare, behavioral health, physical health, law enforcement, children, and their families to assess social needs and monitor progress of therapy services. Manages clinical services and supervises clinicians; participates in the development of departmental policies and procedures; and ensures compliance with federal, state, local laws, licensing authorities, and established policies.
Position Summary

This position has 2 – 5 non-supervisory direct reports.

Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Childhelp’s cultural values and performance principles, company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
- Maintains up to date knowledge of the industry and field through research and training, education and other development activities
- Actively participating in the interviewing and hiring processes and ensuring successful functional on-boarding of new employees
- Planning, assigning and directing work for direct reports
- Setting reasonable stretch performance goals, providing constructive, balanced, regular performance feedback & coaching, and conducting annual performance appraisals
- Recognizing and rewarding performance excellence
- Communicating and enforcing company policies and programs
- Applying corrective action, addressing complaints and resolving problems in a timely fashion, involving and collaborating with leadership and Human Resources as appropriate.

Personally And Through Subordinate Direct Reports Performs The Following
- Provides clinical supervision and has clinical oversight on all therapy services provided by the primary therapists.
- Oversees all facets of the treatment process for the facility including but not limited to assessments, treatment plans, updates/reviews, monthly summary reports, discharge summaries and other documentation or reports necessitated by the treatment process.
- Ensures efficacy and implementation of all clinical interventions utilized with clients through monitoring and oversight
- Participates in local quality improvement activities including data collection, reporting, and documentation of accomplishment.
- Helps in the development of programmatic paperwork, policy and procedure
- Gathers data and reports to Director and Manager for Program Operations for grant and research purposes
- Ensures accurate, timely and complete paperwork in compliance with licensure and accreditation
- Attends individual supervision, clinical staff meetings and training, staff meetings, and multi-disciplinary team meetings, and other meetings, as necessary
- Represents Childhelp through speaking engagements, educational opportunities, and public appearances when asked
- Provides clinical assessment, individual and family therapy related to child abuse issues for children, adolescents, non-offending adults, and families, as well as the facilitation of psychoeducational groups for non-offending guardians, caretakers, and adolescents.

Requirements
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Understanding
- Master’s degree (M.A.) in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy or related field
- State licensure as a LCSW, LMFT or LPC
- Minimum of five years of work experience providing mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, and their families
- Minimum of two years clinical services management experience
- Previous supervisory/managerial experience

- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills to include communicating clearly, effectively, tactfully, and patiently to a diverse population
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor with the ability to build rapport and garner trust with others
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, and electronic health record systems
Abilities
- Ability to pass fingerprint background screening
- Ability to understand and solve problems by applying advanced analytical skills to include collecting, integrating and analyzing all relevant data and information and reduced that information down to manageable components and/or charts, diagrams or graphs; identifying a number of solutions to complex problems integrating findings from several different disciplines, identifying and evaluating the various options developed and selects the most effective solution; drawing logical and objective conclusions from the data and validates them as the prime cause and contributing causes; identifying a number of solutions to the problem by identifying and evaluating the various options developed and selects the most effective solution.
