Qualifications

• 2+ years communicating and presenting to physicians.
• Proficient in Windows PC environment and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chart, quality, and KPI audits for the CDI program.
• Lead workflow for CDI staff and oversee training/orientation.
• Develop physician teaching and on-site presentations and coach staff.
• Approve timecards and communicate performance expectations to CDI staff.
• Assist CDI Director with projects and reports as needed.

Job description

The Manager, Clinical Documentation Integrity is responsible for overseeing the CDI program and implementing processes related to the concurrent review of clinical documentation for Optum 360 clients' patients. This role is ideal for individuals with clinical expertise who can enhance documentation accuracy and support staff training.

What You\'ll Do

• Conduct chart audits, quality audits, and KPI audits.
• Assist CDI Manager with running reports and attending on-site meetings as directed.
• Oversee CDI staff training and orientation.
• Lead workflow for CDI staff.
• Develop physician teaching and on-site presentations.
• Assist CDI Director with projects or tasks as needed.
• Approve timecards.
• Provide coaching and evaluations.
• Communicate performance expectations to CDI staff.
• Ensure timely follow-up communication with providers regarding documentation clarifications.

Requirements

Education:

• Medical Graduate with CDI experience and CDI certification (CCDS, CDIP) or 3+ years of acute care hospital clinical RN experience required.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience communicating and presenting to Physicians.
• Proficiency using a PC in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Electronic Medical Records.

Licenses & Certifications:

• One of the following certifications required: CCDS, CDIP, or CCS (preferred).
