Job summary

FM Industries is seeking a Manager, Cleanroom Manufacturing in Fremont, CA to lead a 25+ person team, plan and direct production activities, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.

The role requires a college degree in Engineering or 5-7 years of semiconductor cleanroom assembly/testing experience; automotive and medical backgrounds are welcome. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, holidays, insurance, a 401(k) match and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering or an industrial discipline or 5-7 years hands-on semiconductor cleanroom assembly and test experience.
• Leadership/Management experience managing 25+ assembly technicians.
• Experience anticipating and resolving resource challenges in manufacturing and product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review and establish material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements. Serve as the direct line manager for 25+ technicians and support personnel.
• Plans, schedules, and directs the activities of department to attain production goals, ensuring production is initiated with sufficient lead time to meet required deliveries.
• Coordinate production activities with other departments including planning, logistics, materials, manufacturing, engineering, and quality.
• Review manufacturing performance and evaluate strengths and weaknesses, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Develop an effective, well-trained team and communicate daily status reports to all levels of the organization; ensure adherence to quality control standards.

• Develop an effective, well-trained, well-informed team capable of functioning at a high level of achievement. Prepares and communicates daily status reports to all levels of the organization as required. Ensures adherence to appropriate quality control standards.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• A college degree in an Engineering or industrial discipline or 5-7 years hands-on semiconductor cleanroom assembly and test experience.
• Will also consider candidates with experience in the following fields, automotive, medical and automotive industries.
• Proficient at anticipating and resolving internal and external resource challenges encountered during manufacturing & product delivery process.
• Understand the Quality System, Configuration Control and Process Control policies, practices, procedures and work rules along with assembly and test manufacturing/production systems.
• Leadership/Management experience managing 25+ assembly technicians.
