Job summary

FM Industries in Fremont, CA seeks a Manager of Cleanroom Manufacturing to lead a 25+ technician team and drive production for semiconductor services. The role requires a degree in engineering or industrial discipline or 5–7 years in cleanroom assembly and test, with leadership experience in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities with multiple departments, ensuring on-time deliveries, and maintaining quality control standards.

Qualifications

• A college degree in Engineering or industrial discipline, or 5–7 years hands-on semiconductor cleanroom experience.
• Experience in automotive or medical industries may be considered.
• Anticipate and resolve internal and external resource challenges in manufacturing and delivery.
• Understand the Quality System, Configuration Control and Process Control policies and work rules.

Responsibilities

• Review and establish material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements; supervise 25+ technicians.
• Plan, schedule, and direct department activities to meet production goals and deliveries.
• Coordinate production with planning, logistics, materials, manufacturing, engineering, and quality.
• Review manufacturing performance and align with company goals and objectives.
• Develop a capable, well-trained team; provide daily status reports and ensure quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Review and establish material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements. Serve as the direct line manager for 25+ technicians and support personnel.
• Plans, schedules, and directs the activities of department to attain production goals, ensuring production is initiated with sufficient lead time to meet required deliveries.
• Coordinate production activities with other departments to including planning, logistics, materials, manufacturing, engineering, and quality.
• Review manufacturing performance and evaluates strengths and weaknesses involved, ensuring goals, objectives and plans are consistent with company goals and objectives.
• Develop an effective, well-trained, well-informed team capable of functioning at a high level of achievement. Prepares and communicates daily status reports to all levels of the organization as required. Ensures adherence to appropriate quality control standards.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• A college degree in an Engineering or industrial discipline or 5-7 years hands-on semiconductor cleanroom assembly and test experience.
• Will also consider candidates with experience in the following fields, automotive, medical and automotive industries.
• Proficient at anticipating and resolving internal and external resource challenges encountered during manufacturing & product delivery process.
• Understand the Quality System, Configuration Control and Process Control policies, practices, procedures and work rules along with assembly and test manufacturing/production systems.
• Leadership/Management experience managing 25+ assembly technicians.
