Kenco Logistics is seeking a Manager – Carrier Account Management to lead a high-performing carrier management team within its brokerage transportation group. This role focuses on mentoring, expanding carrier capacity, and achieving procurement targets while collaborating across pricing, legal, and administrative teams.

Ideal candidates will align with Kenco’s customer-centric approach, drive market engagement, and deliver strategic carrier solutions.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required.
  • 5 years of experience in logistics and/or supply chain management.
  • 5 years of carrier/account/solutions management of 3PL, with focus on transportation solutions preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop a team toward revenue and market share goals.
  • Proficiency with proposal, presentation, project management and financial analysis; experience with MS Office.
  • Experience negotiating, drafting/ reviewing service contracts with financial acumen; liaising with legal teams.

This role is a critical component of our capacity team, focusing on mentoring, training, and empowering a high-performing carrier account management team to exceed their goals. The Manager – Carrier Account Management plays a vital role in driving growth, shaping the carrier experience, affinity, and advancing the company’s underlying capacity strategies that underpins our customer needs in the transportation brokerage space.FunctionsGuide and support a Carrier Account Management team in actively sourcing new carriers by leveraging existing and forming new relationships within the existing carrier portfolio, including new lanes, equipment types, and services.Monitor Carrier Account Management productivity, key performance metrics, and use data-driven insights to refine sourcing and procurement approaches as needed.Advocate and clear roadblocks by collaborating with pricing, commercial, and administrative support teams to successfully lead the Carrier Account Management team through internal processes to aid in winning new business.Play an integral role in the feedback loop with leadership on carrier procurement costs, budgeting, market conditions, trends and competitors.Provide strategic guidance to the Carrier Account Management team in resolving challenges efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely service execution.Present Kenco’s capabilities to current and potential carriers, including C-suite executives, while promoting a carrier-centric approach to foster exceptional service, affinity for Kenco, and long-term relationships.Continuously assess processes and capacity sourcing approaches to improve efficiency, streamline processes, boost relationships, and execute business within market expectations of cost.Other duties as required or assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required, or equivalent years of experience required.5 years of experience in logistics and/or supply chain management required.5 years of experience in carrier/account/solutions management of third-party logistics, with a focus on transportation solutions preferred.Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop a team of professionals toward revenue and market share goal attainment.Proficiency with proposal, presentation, project management and financial analysis is required – including expertise with all Microsoft Office Suite of programs.Experience managing complex negotiations, collaborating with legal teams on agreements, and setting up comprehensive service contracts with financial acumen.Effective problem solver and decision maker with a strong capability to assess workload and prioritize tasks.Self-motivated with an eye for detail and ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and make presentations to executive-level stakeholders.Understanding of the 3PL competitive landscape, as well as all domestic modes of transportation and leading service providers.Must be passionate and able to effectively persuade and influence others.CompetenciesBusiness Acumen – Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting his/her business and organization.Communicate for Impact – Proactively communicate with all stakeholders throughout the life cycle of programs and projects.Managing Transitions / Change Management – Effectively plans, manages and communicates changes in processes with appropriate stakeholders.Influencing Others – Can quickly find common ground and can solve problems for the good of the organization with a minimal amount of noise.
