Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Manager, Business Sales to lead a high-performing field team in the SMB market in Wichita. You will mentor account executives, drive annual plans and ensure exceptional customer experiences while meeting budgeted sales goals.

This role requires strong leadership, field coaching, and in-depth knowledge of telecommunications products and services. You will recruit, train, and manage performance, while leveraging Spectrum tools to monitor funnel activity and deliver consistent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business/marketing or related field.
• 5+ years in telecommunications product/services sales and 5+ years in B2B sales management.
• Ability to lead and mentor a field-based sales team and drive SMB growth.

Responsibilities

• Coach, lead and motivate Account Executives to achieve sales targets.
• 80% of time in the field, 20% on office tasks and admin responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain territory plans and monitor individual goals with Spectrum tools.
• Resolve customer issues impacting sales operations and efficiency.
• Recruit, train and coach Account Executives and manage performance reviews.
• Oversee funnel activity and ensure accurate reporting of sales activities.

As a Manager, Business Sales at Spectrum, you will manage daily operations, mentor account executives and inspire your team to surpass budgeted sales goals. How You Will Make An Impact

• Coach, lead and motivate a team of Account Executives to achieve and exceed sales and performance targets
• Spend 80% of your time in the field supporting your team and 20% handling office responsibilities and administrative tasks
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive team territory plan while setting and monitoring individual sales goals using Spectrum’s systems and tools
• Resolve customer complaints and address issues impacting sales operations to maintain efficiency
• Organize regular meetings to keep the team informed of tools, process and product updates
• Recruit, train and coach Account Executives, handling employee relations, performance reviews and ensuring training compliance
• Oversee daily funnel activity for individual sales representatives, including contacts, presentations and sales
• Ensure accurate completion of administrative tasks and reporting for all sales activities
• Maintain detailed knowledge of Spectrum’s product offerings, marketplace trends and competitive landscape, while building positive relationships with customers and partners

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field or equivalent experience

Experience

• 5+ years of telecommunications product and services sales experience
• 5+ years of business-to-business sales management experience

• Experience organizing, implementing and maintaining sales goals
• Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with a focus on telephone and Internet fundamentals
• Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
