JOB SUMMARY

HNAS (Health Now Administrative Services) offers flexible, cost-effective solutions for employee health benefits. Plans, manages, and oversees the implementation of the strategic business and functional infrastructure supporting all health insurance products, programs, ancillary services, and markets served by Highmark. Responsible for requirements development, testing, refinement of systems, and contributing to divisional planning and senior management. Manages enhancements and capabilities of enterprise systems, designing and implementing solutions to IT and business process needs, reviewing system requirements, and ensuring quality outcomes.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Act as business platform owner, directing daily operations, and supporting strategic initiatives to improve systems and workflows.
  2. Partner with PMO, stakeholders, IT, and support teams to support and integrate data and processes.
  3. Resolve high-impact platform, defect, or technical issues, maintaining active communication with users.
  4. Oversee design, development, and implementation of IT and business solutions across applications, architecture, and infrastructure.
  5. Ensure compliance with multi-state and federal regulations, policies, and process improvements.
  6. Collaborate on strategic planning and execute department and corporate initiatives.
  7. Lead or participate in projects and transformational initiatives, managing relationships across units.
  8. Promote continuous improvement, document platform features, and develop departmental goals.
  9. Provide leadership, coaching, and development for teams, managing performance and growth.
  10. Manage teams across geographic and functional areas, promoting diversity and inclusion.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Required: High School Diploma / GED
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

EXPERIENCE

  • Required: 5 years in program management or team leadership, managing technology projects, and working with operational systems; 5 years in industry laws/regulations.
  • Preferred: Extensive insurance product knowledge, workforce development, and process improvement experience.

LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required: None

SKILLS

  • Leadership and management skills, experience evaluating technology, process reengineering, strong communication, team building, and negotiation skills.

Pay Range:

Minimum: $92,300.00

Maximum: $172,500.00
