Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a BI leader to drive a strategic analytics agenda across the enterprise. You will guide a dedicated team delivering BI solutions, collaborating with business leaders to ensure data assets support customer experience improvements and operational excellence.

Role requires 7+ years of BI development, 5+ years data integration in large environments, and strong leadership. This is a hybrid role with four days in-office, one day remote, located in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or related work experience.
• 7+ hands-on experience developing custom BI solutions using Django, Rest API, data strategies, and data best practices
• 5+ years of experience providing data integration solutions in large-scale enterprise environments
• 3+ years of supervisory experience managing teams of employees and contractors
• Advanced knowledge in full life-cycle solution delivery (data engineering, product development)

Responsibilities

• Guide internal teams on interpreting and applying BI products to support customer experience improvement
• Communicate data integrity issues, nuances and insights to stakeholders at all levels
• Maintain key metric definitions and oversee BI reporting accuracy
• Provide conceptual and technical expertise while establishing best practices in data management and BI delivery
• Integrate technical projects across functions and ensure successful teamwork and resource allocation
• Oversee BI product design, development and technical strategy aligned with business needs
• Monitor and manage business requests to the BI Group and drive quality reviews

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Provide conceptual and technical expertise while establishing best practices in data management and business intelligence delivery
• Integrate technical projects across functions, ensuring successful teamwork assignments and resource needs are met
• Oversee BI product design, development and technical strategy aligned with business needs
• Monitor and manage business requests to the Business Intelligence Group, driving quality reviews and issue resolution

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or related work experience

Experience

• 7+ hands-on experience developing custom BI solutions using Django, Rest API, data strategies, and data best practices
• 5+ years of experience providing data integration solutions in large-scale enterprise environments
• 3+ years of experience as a BI developer/analyst/architect, or other related roles with BI development practices
• 3+ years of supervisory experience managing teams of employees and contractors

Skills

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Advanced knowledge in full life-cycle solution delivery (i.e. data engineering, product development)
• Advanced demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in delivering oral and written presentations to large and small groups
• Demonstrated deep working knowledge of business intelligence platforms, database, and analytical tools
• Proven leadership and ability to coach and develop a team
• Possess the intellectual curiosity to work through ambiguity
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects/assignments
• Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Access
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience working with one or many BI platforms
