Job description

Job Summary

Provides day-to-day guidance to the PartsTech sales team. Manages work assignments and ensures team members are positioned to meet deliverables. Coaches and drives results of all staff members to impact revenue generation. Assures ongoing business development planning activities are occurring including forecasting and process improvement to continue to drive goals.

Location & Schedule

This is a hybrid position working onsite in our office location in Bee Cave, TX Tuesday through Thursday. Qualified candidates must live within commuting distance to our office in order to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages and leads the PartsTech Associate Program Development Reps and the Business Development Reps. Sets sales goals and expectations, manages work assignments, and provides ongoing coaching and feedback. Ensures clarity on priorities and timelines and that business development activities are aligned with strategic goals communicated by senior leadership. Helps team members with solving for complex and/or escalated issues, and removes roadblocks as needed.
  • Promotes individual and team learning & growth, and supports the upward mobility of team members.
  • Maximizes company revenue opportunities through planning, managing, and executing business development objective to build a robust sales pipeline; works to exceed department and team member key performance indicators via understanding of lead generation, OEC/PartsTech customers, and strong management of the team.
  • Monitors trends within the business, and implements strategies and action plans within Direct Sales Shop, ensuring sales-adjacent efforts support products and revenue growth.
  • Collaborates closely with other departments to ensure smooth and seamless sales activities from initial outreach to close.
  • Coordinates efforts with Department Leadership to determine variable incentive pay through historical reports, company expectations, and current state of the economy. Manages the budget on an ongoing basis after incentive pay programs are approved.
  • Reviews standard and ad-hoc reporting for product(s); analyzes reports and recommends improvements to improve the business development and selling environment.
  • Ensures compliance of CRM documentation standards for the team.
  • Accepts calls from team members to help resolve complex issues.
  • Recruits, hires, and onboards new team members. Ensures newly hired employees have the tools, knowledge and resources needed to be successful at OEC.
Education

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Sales, General Business, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.

Experience

At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business development and/or territory sales, to include a proven track record of building and maintaining effective customer relationships at senior levels within different organizations, plus at least 2 years of prior management experience with responsibility for leading direct reports.

Must also be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and create an engaging and positive culture that motivates and empowers others to do great work.
  • Knowledge of the full sales lifecycle in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and can work collaboratively across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and can tailor messaging to a specific audience or call to action.
  • Sound business judgement and strong critical thinking skills to solve for a variety of business challenges.
  • Ability to manage and lead at a tactical level with direct reports, and at a strategic level with OEC Leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can effectively promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and can support direct reports with adjusting to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.
  • Proactive and results-oriented workstyle to ensure team objectives and deliverables are met.
Travel
  • Travel for this position is required and anticipated to be up to 20% of work time.
