The Manager, Benefits & Leaves is responsible for overall management and direction for the development and maintenance of the company-wide medical/dental/vision, leaves and worker’s comp programs and their integration with the overall Total Rewards programs and the culture of Pharmavite. This roles Drives design of short and long-term plan designs and identifies appropriate vendors who complement and enhance the employee experience. The Manager, Benefits & Leaves reports to the Head of Total Rewards and manages one analyst.

The ideal candidate:

You have prior experience leading benefits and leaves administration in a corporate environment. You are comfortable leading and delegating to a direct report, analytical, curious and collaborative.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Partner with CHRO & Dir, Total Rewards to shape Benefits & Leaves strategies for all brands
  • Direct execution health, welfare and other benefits offered across all brands, in partnership with OAI, OSV and analyst
  • Direct execution of leaves programs in partnership with Lincoln Financial and analyst
  • Direct execution of workers comp programs in partnership with Gallagher and PHV EHS
  • Drive education and communication agenda that influences areas of focus, particularly:
  • An improved understanding of benefits offerings and appropriate plan selections
  • A reduced number of workers comp claims and increased front-line manager understanding of processes
  • Manage global benefits and leave policies and programs in compliance with federal and state laws, including FMLA and ADA
  • Survey industry trends to ensure that we’re offering inclusive, market-competitive and equitable employee benefits
  • Manage the relationship with our insurance brokers and OAI to ensure we continue to provide exceptional medical, dental, vision and leaves experiences for our employees
  • Partner closely with OneSource Virtual to ensure that outsourced benefits front-line questions and administration is taking place effectively and promptly
  • Partner closely with Legal to ensure the appropriate compliance policies and protections are in place to operate effectively
  • Oversee administration of leaves of absences, including: Short-term and long-term disability, maternity, family bonding, accommodations, etc.
  • Oversee administration of worker’s compensation program, in partnership with Legal and Environment, Health & Safety teams
  • Lead, engage and develop an Analyst to support all of this work
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Capabilities & Skills Required:

In order to take on these challenges, you will need to have:

  • A college degree
  • Knowledge of the benefits marketplace and employer trends Excellent verbal and written communication skills including composing and conducting presentations, composing programs, and interfacing with a diverse group of internal staff/management and external vendors and community resources.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and work independently to initiate group activities
  • Analytical experience, comfortable with Excel, running reporting and able to produce PowerPoint presentations based on findings.
  • Detail oriented skills and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong computer skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with Workday

You’ll be most successful in this role if you:

  • Have 7 years’ experience in Human Resources with prior experience managing benefits and leaves programs.
  • Are bilingual (English/Spanish)

National Target Base Pay Range: $96,000.00. - $162,000.00.

The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $106,000.00 - $180,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
