Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness professional to oversee global BCP programs across a large facilities portfolio. You will drive readiness, resilience, and structured response to disruptions, coordinating with regional teams and leading drills to ensure enterprise resilience.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and 6–8 years of experience in this field. Domestic travel up to 25% is expected.

• 6-8 years of progressive experience in business continuity, emergency preparedness, risk management, or related operational roles.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing BCP and emergency response programs.

Job description

• Designing, governing, and enabling facilities-related business continuity and emergency preparedness programs across the DPS global facilities portfolio (~ 110 locations).
• Ensuring that DPS sites are prepared, resilient, and capable of responding to disruptive events that impact facilities, infrastructure, or workplace operations.
• Leading business continuity planning (BCP) and emergency preparedness programs to ensure organizational resilience across DePuy Synthes.
• Protecting employees, operations, and assets by ensuring the company is prepared to respond effectively to disruptions, emergencies, and crises.
• Defining and maintaining the FM BCP and Emergency Preparedness framework, aligned with enterprise BCM standards.
• Ensuring facilities-related risks (infrastructure failure, utilities disruption, site access issues) are addressed in continuity plans.
• Establishing emergency response standards, playbooks, and site readiness requirements.
• Partnering with regional FM and site teams to conduct drills, exercises, and readiness assessments.
• Supporting crisis response during events, providing structured escalation and decision support.
• Leading post-incident reviews and driving continuous improvement.
• Providing leadership with readiness metrics, risk insights, and preparedness trends.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of progressive experience in business continuity, emergency preparedness, risk management, or related operational roles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
• Advanced degree or professional training in business continuity, emergency management, or risk management preferred.
• English proficiency required.
• Up to 25% travel, primarily domestic.
• Business Continuity or Emergency Management certifications (e.g., CBCP, MBCI, CEM) preferred, not required.
