St. Louis Community College is seeking a technical training program supervisor to assess learning needs, design curricula, and manage the equipment base for our automated manufacturing training center.

You will consult with Workforce Solutions Group and clients, develop budgets and schedules, design equipment specifications, supervise instructors, and present training solutions aligned with industry credentials and trends. Office environment with a strong industry partnership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or associate degree with extensive engineering experience in automated facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with Workforce Solutions Group and clients on industrial maintenance and automated manufacturing training needs.
  • Design and develop curricula and materials for automated manufacturing training.
  • Present training solutions to clients and assess their needs.
  • Develop training equipment specifications and purchase recommendations.
  • Develop budgets, operating plans and project schedules for training and equipment.
  • Oversee installation of industrial maintenance and automated manufacturing systems for training centers.

Job description

Performs duties necessary to assess the technical training and performance needs of area business and industry, proposing training solutions, designing an/or selecting programs, activities, equipment and resources to implement training and performance improvement and supervising the activities of any additional part-time WSG instructors providing technical training. Also responsible for management of the industrial maintenance and automated controls program, curriculum and equipment base including the installation, maintenance and upgrading of the equipment base for an automated manufacturing training center as well as consulting with college administrators regarding future technical trends.

  • Consults with , Workforce Solutions Group – Technical Training Services andits clients regarding industrial maintenance, automated manufacturing andother technical training issues.
  • Designs and develops curriculum and material for automated manufacturingand other technical training needs.
  • Makes presentations to clients which address technical training needs.
  • Assesses clients’ technical training needs particularly as they relate toautomated manufacturing and industrial maintenance.
  • Develops training equipment specifications and recommends purchases forWorkforce Solutions Group and its clients.
  • Develops cost estimates, budgets and operating plans as needed for trainingclasses, equipment purchases and special projects.
  • Designs, engineers and supervises the installation of industrial maintenanceand automated manufacturing systems which are dedicated to training atthe Technical Training Services facility or at other sites.
  • Maintains a knowledge base of current issues and trends in technology,particularly as they relate to factory automation and industrial maintenance.Consults with WSG and clients regarding these issues and trends.
  • Works with credentialing institutions to stay on top of new and evolvingcredentials.
  • Aligns WSG training with industry recognized credentials.
  • Recommends and supervises instructors for technical training classes.
  • Provides technical instruction.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and over five years
  • OR Associates Degree in Control Systems and over 7 years experience in engineering or maintenance at a manufacturing facility which utilizes automation equipment.
