Job summary

NorthLakes Community Clinic is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Clinic Manager, Director, and Operations team. This role will lead and supervise front-end and clinical staff, manage workflows, and ensure high-quality patient service.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management while aligning operations with policies and strategic initiatives. The position includes budget responsibilities and collaboration with leadership on improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Two+ years of supervisory experience or two years clinical work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures patients receive excellent customer service.
  • Collaborates with departments to ensure adequate staffing and resources.
  • Performs supervisory tasks: hiring, training, orientation, scheduling, performance management.
  • Keeps staff informed on policy changes and ensures adherence to procedures.
  • Prepares and manages the department budget and inventory.
  • Orders supplies and maintains adequate inventory levels.
  • Attends management meetings and supports clinic initiatives.

Will also be responsible for clinical work and performance management of direct reports as well as staffing, engagement and retention of staff. Direct reports include front-end and clinical support staff. Will develop a communication tool to ensure all workflows, directions and processes are documented, shared with staff and adhered to.Essential Job FunctionsEssential Functions of the Job:Ensures that patients are receiving the best possible customer service experience.Works with other departments to ensure appropriate and adequate staffing and resources for staff to fulfill the functions of their job.Functions in a clinical working role as appropriate.Stays current on changing policies and procedures and effectively communicates these changes to staff.Audits processes and holds staff accountable to established policies and procedures.Oversees staff and performs tasks related to supervision; including functions such as hiring, training, orientation, staff scheduling, performance management, and daily operations.Prepares and manages the department’s budget.Orders supplies and maintains adequate inventory of supplies.Partners with the clinic leadership team to support initiatives and projects within the clinic.Attends management meetings and related trainings.Qualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
