Job summary

NorthLakes Community Clinic is seeking a Maintenance and Grounds Technician to care for the internal and external facilities across clinic and admin sites. Responsibilities include daily maintenance, preventive checks, and coordinating with contractors.

You will manage plumbing, lighting, painting, cleaning, and grounds tasks while complying with OSHA/CDC regulations. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Some travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Valid WI Driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle may be required.
  • Prior maintenance and lawn care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance inside the facility (light bulbs, fixtures, dispensers, plumbing checks).
  • Maintain exterior grounds including lawn care, window washing, and snow/ice removal.
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Director on projects and independent contractors.

Join a team that believes everyone deserves care.Candidates must reside within NorthLakes' service area at the time of hire and maintain residency throughout employment.The Maintenance and Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining the internal/external facility and grounds for clinic and administrative sites, which include daily and long-term maintenance of the facility.Salary begins at $18.59 + per hour depending on experience.Essential Job FunctionsDuties and Responsibilities (Other assignments, projects and duties may be required):Daily maintenance inside facility to include but not limited to; changing light bulb and ballast, changing all paper product dispensers, replacing sanitizer solution and soap solutions throughout clinic, troubleshooting plumbing needs (toilet, facets, sinks, drains), painting and plastering of trim, walls, floors and tile upkeep or replacement, changing filters, stocking supplies, cleaning and upkeep of appliances, performing custodial duties, and washing windows.Furniture assembly and moving office equipment as needed.Maintain external building grounds on a daily basis to include lawn maintenance, ice/snow/dirt removal from sidewalks (prior to opening if necessary) washing of outside windows, changing outside light bulbs, pest control as needed.Transport trash and recycling to appropriate disposal areas.Develop and maintain a schedule for preventative maintenance such as fire extinguishers, furnace cleaning, generator, AC checks, water tests, change equipment oil, dryer vents, changing batteries in CO2 alarms, thermostats, smoke alarms.Manage monthly Biohazard and Sharps container placement and pickup in appropriate areas.May assist with general construction duties under the direction of the Facilities Director.Coordinate independent contractors as assigned for maintenance projects.Maintain and clean the basement and utility equipment areas for multiple sites as needed.Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including Paylocity courses and OSHA/CDC regulations.Travel between sites as needed.Other duties as assigned by management.Job RequirementsEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma or Equivalent required.Valid WI Driver’s license and personal vehicle for travel may be required based on location needs.Prior experience with maintenance and lawn care preferred.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
