Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Radford, VA, seeks a Manager II, Engineering, North America Applications and Systems, onsite at our global headquarters. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead post-sale customer support for MCS products and systems.
  • Collaborate with L1 pre-sales Applications team for alignment and smoother customer experience.
  • Coordinate with regional Teams to share knowledge and standardize practices.
  • Drive KPI tracking and continuous improvement through kaizens and tooling development.
  • Manage North America Product Training: planning and delivery at client sites.
  • Oversee training content creation, live sessions, and course work design.
  • Establish standard work for North America support structure with other functions.
  • Support growth and development of applications and systems teams at all levels.
  • Assist Production, Quality and Engineering to define quality issues and test new products.
  • Schedule field service visits for troubleshooting, commissioning, and training as needed.
  • Manage budget for the Applications and Systems Engineering team.
  • Travel up to 25% to client sites.

Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Overview

The Motion Control Systems division is seeking a Manager II, Engineering, North America Applications and Systems, located onsite at our global headquarters in Radford, Virginia. This role leads the North America Level 2 Applications Engineering and Systems Engineering team. The position reports functionally through Product Engineering, with a dotted-line relationship to the MCS Global Vice President of Sales because its primary activities are customer-facing.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on leader with strong structured problem-solving skills who can balance strategic improvement work with daily support for key customer accounts.

Tactically, the Manager l eads immediate technical problem solving leveraging the team , ensuring products meet customer requirements and function as -intended . Both internally and in processes that involve customers ( e.g. commissioning experiences) , the Manager driv es efficiency and productivity gains . This function leads technical support to sales and customer s, resolving queries with a goal toward customer satisfaction .

Strategic ally, t h e Manager drives innovation by integrating new technologies and systems with purpose and a goal of customer success . It contributes to strategic planning by forecasting future technical needs as an input to product planning . The position ensures high standards in interoperability and in the outcomes of our product developments, maintaining the company's reputation for quality and reliability .

Key Responsibilities

Both pre-sale and post-sale customer engagements are with in the responsibilities of this role , however, focus is on post-sales customer support of MCS products and systems.

Collaborates closely with the L1 pre-sales Applications team to ensure cross-functional alignment and interactions resulting in a more seamless and positive customer experience.

Collaborate with EMEAI and Asia Applications Engineering teams to leverage shared knowledge, experience , and capabilities; adopt best practices ; and drive stan dardization across regions.

Responsible for leading, tracking and maintaining data for Policy Deployment Targets to Improve and Key Performance Indicators and achieving them through a closed-loop, continuous improvement and problem-solving approach , involving: driving changes through kaizens and process improvement, developing tools, a nd building the team to support the growth of the business.

Manage the North America Product Training function to ensure effective planning and delivery of external customer training, both in-house and at customer sites.

Oversee responsibilities that include:

  • Coordinating, scheduling and facilitating live training sessions scheduled periodically throughout the year both on-site and off-site.
  • Creating and maintaining training content including presentation materials and demo/test units used during the class.
  • Designing course work and class syllabus to ensure maximum interest and impact to our customers.

Establish standard work that defines the North America support structure and interface s with other business functions.

Promotes the growth and development of applications and systems teams at all levels to expand the capabilities and expertise within the group, including L1.

  • Responsible for assisting North America Production, Quality and Engineering teams with defining quality issues and testing new products in development per customer requirements.
  • Responsible for making determinations of need and scheduling field service visits for troubleshooting, commissioning and training purposes.
  • Responsible for managing the budget of the Applications and Systems Engineering team.

Travel up to 25% to customer sites.

Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Experience with the use of multi-meters, oscilloscope s and data recorders for the purpose of troubleshooting product & systems issues.
  • Experienced with EMC /EMI issues including wiring, shielding and grounding practices.
