Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Atomic Pathology to lead a dedicated team in delivering timely and accurate pathology results while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role focuses on program development, quality improvement, and staff mentorship within a collaborative hospital environment.

The position supports a 40-hour workweek with a day shift (Mon-Fri), contributing to the hospital's reputation as a leading trauma and care center in North Texas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Masters of Science Degree required.
  • 10 years of clinical laboratory experience including report writing and research activity.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in the assigned area.
  • High level of energy and motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication skills.
  • Develops new programs and/or protocols to enhance patient care and/or department operations.
  • Identifies, collects data and resolves problems involving patients and/or departments through quality improvement.
  • Serves as a resource for staff or clients regarding laboratory and section matters.
  • Creates and maintains a safe environment for self, co-workers, and facility.
  • Communicates clearly and openly.
  • Builds relationships to promote collaboration.
  • Be accountable for performance and improvement of patient experience.
  • Take initiative for professional growth and be eager to build a winning team.
