Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Histology Technician to prepare specimens for microscopic examination and assist the Pathologist with analytic procedures. This position supports test distribution to patient care units and physicians, with PRN hours and flexible scheduling.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of a histology training program or equivalent on-the-job training, and an associate’s degree in Biological Sciences preferred.

Job Requirements

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Histology Training Program or equivalent on-the-job Histology training
• Associate’s degree in Biological Sciences, Preferred

Licenses and/or Certifications

• HT (ASCP), HTL (ASCP), or eligible
• Or In lieu of certification a minimum of 3 years full time employment in a Histology laboratory

Work Experience

• Certified HT Work Experience, Preferred
