Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Medical Technologist Supervisor to oversee all functions for the assigned shift and department, ensuring accurate and timely performance of technical procedures in line with regulatory standards.

Candidates must be MT/MLS with a four-year degree; at least one year supervisory experience preferred; must be a generalist in Core Lab and Blood Bank, with training in processing; will supervise micro, serology and POCT areas.

Qualifications

• Must hold MT/MLS (4-year degree).
• 1 year of laboratory supervisor experience preferred.
• Generalist (Core Lab and Blood Bank) required.
• Training in Processing will be provided.
• Supervisor for micro, serology and point-of-care; knowledge in at least two areas.

Your Job:

The Medical Technologist Supervisor is responsible and accountable for overseeing all functions and activities for specific shift(s) or specific department(s) and for the accurate and timely performance of technical procedures in accordance with all current regulatory and accreditation standards. You must demonstrate excellent technical skills, excellent critical thinking skills, communication, and customer service skills.

Your Job Requirements:

• Must be able to work 2pm to 10:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation
• 1 year of previous Laboratory Supervisor experience, preferred.
• 3 years of Lab Scientist experience preferred
• Must be a generalist (Core Lab and Blood Bank)
• Will train in Processing.
• Must be a MT/MLS (4 year degree),
• Supervisor for (micro, serology and point-of-care) Must know at least 2 areas, and will train on the 3rd.
