Job Summary

The main responsibility of the Manager, Advanced Analytics is to apply sophisticated modeling and other advanced analytic techniques to help guide our clients’ media spending plans and makes their investments more efficient. This position will be charged with designing and developing analytic processes and execution on an ongoing basis. In addition to the technical aspects required, it will involve cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, internal stakeholders (e.g., Brand and Activation), 3rd‑party vendors, and operational areas within Horizon.

The role requires an intellectually curious individual with critical thinking skills, creativity, and flawless execution to provide thought leadership that drives analytic innovations.

50% of the time will be devoted to analytics for a key major client vertical, developed under the supervision of the Horizon Chief Analytic Officer with dotted‑line reporting to that client vertical.

What You’ll Do

70% Development and Enhancement of data and analytics capabilities.

  • Operate as the lead in developing a campaign measurement framework for a key client vertical.
  • Spearhead modeling and analytic efforts to provide insights into new product launches and initiatives.
  • Constantly look for ways to improve the usage of Horizon’s existing data and analytics infrastructure.
  • Work with stakeholders to improve current analytic processes and develop new capabilities that set us apart in the marketplace.
  • Use automation and technology to increase efficiency and provide the infrastructure to scale.
  • Bring an “outside in” perspective to analytic development; explore, identify, and assess external best practices and translate them to relevant internal applications.
  • Individual project management and execution.

30% Cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships – internally and externally.

  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key functional areas, most notably the Analytics team, Brand, Activation, and other stakeholders throughout Horizon Next.
  • Act as a liaison between the Analytics team and the internal Brand, Activation, and Operational areas.
  • Extensive brand team and client interaction and day‑to‑day management.
  • Supervisory responsibilities including training and mentoring direct reports and guidance for career growth.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field required.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in Advanced Analytics, preferably in media or an adjacent field.
  • 1‑3 years of experience managing teams required.
  • High‑end marketing response modeling expertise (e.g., MMM) preferred.
  • Consulting skills – can explore business view and work with them to develop mutually owned solutions; can solve problems in complex situations using creative and conceptual reasoning.
  • Able to put data into context of client’s business questions and needs to make applicable decisions for model design and reporting.
  • Proactive individual with strong problem‑solving skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Exercise the ability to create time‑saving efficiencies for regular client deliverables.
  • Responsible for own deliverables, ensuring timely and quality output.
  • Technology platform expertise – (e.g., R, SQL, Python) – can create readable, replicable code aligned with processes and procedures for the group.
  • Domain knowledge – understands data, analytics, and media ecosystem (social, programmatic, SEM, TV, etc.).

Salary Range

$125,000.00 - $150,000.00
