Job summary

Munich Re Group in New York City is seeking a Manager & Actuary for Inforce and M&A Solutions to support pricing, modeling, assumption setting, structuring, and due diligence on reinsurance transactions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a quantitative field, an active FSA, 5+ years in life actuarial work, and strong analytical skills. You will build AXIS models, run pricing projections, and present opportunities to Senior Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, risk management, mathematics, or accounting.
• FSA required.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience in life re/insurance.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with actuarial models, data, and profitability metrics.
• Ability to learn complex products and deal structures quickly.

Responsibilities

• Diligence on appraisal and M&A process documents.
• Support deal structuring for capital and risk optimization.
• Run deal models to assess opportunities in block reinsurance.
• Develop pricing assumptions for performance insights.
• Build AXIS models producing product cash flows.
• Run AXIS projections and summarize results.
• Challenge processes and accelerate timelines.
• Present deals to Senior Management for approval.
