Manager, Actuarial Services (VBC) - REMOTE

Supports value-based contracting initiatives by analyzing contract opportunities, developing contract terms, and reporting on performance. Extracts, analyzes, and synthesizes data from various sources to identify risks and opportunities, and communicates findings to senior leadership.

Job Duties

  • Analyze historical cost baselines.
  • Oversee development of contract terms and document assumptions.
  • Design and perform actuarial studies related to medical care costs and trends.
  • Support projects related to contract analysis, business development, financial projections, budgeting, and acquisitions.
  • Manage and guide actuarial staff.
  • Review reporting for methodological consistency and interpret results to recommend solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and professional developments.

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience/Skills: Minimum 6 years in the field with leadership experience

Certifications: Must have passed at least 4 actuarial exams

Preferred Certifications: ASA or near ASA
