Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. seeks an experienced Accounts Payable professional to oversee vendor invoices, three-way matching, and timely payments within a fast paced, data driven finance team.

You will audit vendor banks, support month-end closing, analyze discrepancies, and train vendors on submission requirements while partnering with internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is required.
• 6–8 years of experience in Accounts Payable, vendor management, or similar field.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review/Approve vendor invoices and Purchase orders per policy and three-way match.
• Review vendor payments for timeliness and accuracy.
• Manage vendor bank account information securely and updates as needed.
• Conduct vendor bank information audits to detect fraud and discrepancies.
• Communicate with business units and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and inquiries.
• Support month-end closing with SEA departments and subsidiaries.
• Project management to meet deadlines and coordinate with corporate departments.
• Update policy/process per supervisor direction and train vendors/employees on procedures.
• Assist in reporting and analysis for vendor risk management activities.
• Assist team members with project-related tasks.

Reviews and manages vendor invoices, payment processing, and vendor master data to achieve operational excellence and mitigate financial risk. Identifies root cause to problems and uses data driven approaches to solve them. Extensive interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify issues and analyze information to provide solutions consistent with our business strategies. This role encompasses vendor invoice lifecycle management, payment execution, vendor banking information governance, and risk management based on company needs, and should go above and beyond assigned responsibility to support the AP function.

Role And Responsibilities

• Review/Approve vendor invoices and Purchase orders in accordance with company policy and three-way match requirements
• Review vendor payments timely and accurately, ensuring compliance with payment terms and cash management guidelines
• Manage vendor bank account information, including verification, updates, and secure handling of sensitive banking data
• Conduct vendor bank information audits to detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized changes, or data discrepancies
• Communicate with business units and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and provide guidance on submission requirements
• Support month end closing in collaboration with other SEA departments and subsidiaries
• Project management to meet time sensitive deadlines and communicate with other corporate departments
• Update company policy and process per direction from supervisor and conduct training for vendors/employees on invoice and payment procedures
• Assist in reporting and analysis for vendor risk management items (fraud prevention, control gaps, duplicate prevention, and various audits)
• Assist team members for all project related tasks

Skills And Qualifications

Background/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Accounts Payable, vendor management, or similar related field
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred
