Job Description

The Manager, Accounting Advisory and Outsourcing (AAO) manages the full lifecycle of all assigned finance and accounting outsource engagements. Responsibilities include proposal development, staff assignment and oversight, final work product review, and overall portfolio financial performance. Additionally, the Manager, AAO will handle client relationship management, including regular meetings, financial reporting, and making financial management recommendations, as well as timely billing and resolution of client issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of client engagements, providing technical expertise in finance and accounting functions.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation, produce financial statements, and conduct financial analysis.
  • Understand and explain client technology packages supporting their accounting functions.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, identify client objectives, and map current finance structures.
  • Design and propose integrated solutions tailored to client needs, including cost and benefit analysis.
  • Formulate and communicate recommendations on technical accounting issues and financial policies.
  • Review solutions periodically and support clients through business changes.
  • Gather necessary information, maintain relationships, and ensure effective communication.
Business Development
  • Develop strategies and solutions for various industries and ensure proper CRM data entry.
  • Evaluate potential clients and develop statements of work.
  • Participate in industry groups and networking events to identify new opportunities.
Developing Others
  • Foster a culture of change and accountability.
  • Identify training needs and participate in recruiting and onboarding.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for staff development.
Project Management
  • Create detailed work plans and manage project milestones.
  • Ensure timely billing and manage engagement scope and budget.
  • Oversee client satisfaction and engagement quality.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day workload and review work products.
  • Act as a career advisor and evaluate staff performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics; MBA or Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum six years of accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and industry-standard software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams.
Additional Information

Salary range: $105,000 - $125,000, depending on experience and location.
