Job Description

The Manager, Accounting Advisory and Outsourcing (AAO) manages the full lifecycle of all assigned finance and accounting outsource engagements. Responsibilities include proposal development, staff assignment and oversight, final work product review, and overall portfolio financial performance. The Manager will also manage client relationships, including regular meetings, financial reporting, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of finance and accounting outsourcing engagements, providing technical expertise and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Understand and optimize client technology packages supporting their finance functions.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, design tailored solutions, and outline project scope and costs.
  • Formulate and communicate recommendations on technical accounting issues and financial policies.
  • Review and update solutions periodically with clients.
  • Handle conflict resolution and support clients through business changes.
  • Gather and organize client information, build strong relationships, and ensure project success.
Business Development
  • Develop and recommend solutions, evaluate client risk, and prepare statements of work.
  • Engage in industry networking, identify new opportunities, and articulate service offerings.
Team Development
  • Foster a culture of accountability and change.
  • Identify staff development needs, participate in recruiting, and mentor team members.
Project Management
  • Create work plans, manage budgets, oversee client satisfaction, and ensure timely billing.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff on engagements, review work, and evaluate performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication, analytical skills, and GAAP knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software; experience with industry tools preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams.
