Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team building our identity & access management platform, including authentication, SSO and automation. You’ll balance technical leadership with people management and help deliver reliable, secure software at scale.

You’ll collaborate with security, product and compliance, review designs, drive automated testing and CI/CD, and mentor engineers to improve architecture and delivery while adopting AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading backend/platform teams.
• 5+ years hands-on software development experience.
• Strong OO design, backend systems, and architectural grounding.
• Experience with IAM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML or Keycloak is a plus.
• Comfort with CI/CD, automated testing, and release practices.
• Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and align security with delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers, fostering excellence and accountability.
• Deeply own identity services and Keycloak extensions, including UAT support.
• Participate in design reviews and challenge architectural choices for scale.
