Job summary

Huey Magoo’s in Port Wentworth, GA is seeking a Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations and staff during scheduled shifts. You will handle money, open/close the store, run shifts, and ensure all aspects of the operation run smoothly with strong leadership and a commitment to quality service.

Ideal candidates have prior shift-lead/manager experience in the restaurant industry, are proficient in English, and can train staff while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Previous experience as a restaurant shift lead/management required.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification a plus.
• Effective interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
• Ability to work standing for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and feedback to workers during shifts.
• Assign duties to staff as needed.
• Train and coach new employees.
• Check cash drawers and prepare bank deposits.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
• Address customer and employee complaints.
• Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant managerial role.
• Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Working well within a team.
• Provide leadership to each team member and make sure each customer gets a fast, accurate and friendly experience.
• Must be able to set targets, delegate tasks, follow up and report to the Assistant or General Manager.
• Be able to identify training opportunities with fellow team members, train team members to communicate with customers to ensure we are providing a friendly experience.
• Required to complete daily food safety checks including FIFO, secondary code dates, Health Inspections and be able to actively monitor food handling in the restaurant.
• Have basic cash handling skills.
• Maintain a professional appearance and hold all team members accountable to wear the correct uniforms.
• Must have great communication skills and a positive, encouraging attitude!

Job Summary
