Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Management Trainee to train in customer service and business operations across trailer rental and leasing. Recent graduates are preferred, with mentorship from experienced managers and exposure to sales and operations leadership.

The program includes hands-on responsibilities with major clients, cross-training opportunities, and potential promotion to Branch Manager roles. Willingness to relocate and travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; or 4 years of equivalent relevant experience in customer-facing rental operations or outside sales positions.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience; or 1-2 years of sales representative/business development experience.
• Willingness to relocate out of state to another nationwide facility upon promotion into Operations or Sales positions.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
• Self-starter with strong motivation, critical-thinking ability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers like PepsiCo and FedEx when they need trailers, helping determine their equipment needs, and explaining all trailer-rental options.
• Inspecting trailers and equipment for damage or issues.
• Managing customer accounts, including assisting with credit and collections.
• Verifying customer insurance coverage.
• Assigning repair work to vendors and mechanics.
• Using technology to perform inventories, manage equipment, and complete other operational tasks.
• Occasional paid travel to other branches and HQ for orientation and training.
• Support promotion-ready operations management roles and leadership development.
• Assist Branch Sales Managers to grow a customer portfolio and support rentals and leasing operations.
