Job summary

Staffmark seeks a Management Trainee—recent graduates welcomed—to train in customer service and operations across our domestic rental network. You will learn from experienced managers, support customers like PepsiCo and FedEx, and develop skills in trailer rentals, sales, and operations.

During 1–3 years, mentorship and progressive assignments lead to leadership roles such as Operations Manager or Branch Manager, with cross-training and occasional travel as part of development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; or 4 years of equivalent relevant experience in customer-facing rental operations or outside sales positions
• 1-2 years of customer service experience; or 1-2 years of sales representative/business development experience
• Willingness to relocate out of state to another nationwide facility upon promotion into Operations or Sales positions
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Self-starter with strong motivation, critical-thinking ability, and attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle complaints and resolve issues effectively
• Leadership and management abilities, including training and developing employees

Responsibilities

• Serve customers like PepsiCo and FedEx when they need trailers, helping determine their equipment needs and explaining all trailer-rental options
• Inspect trailers using a handheld device, including checking for damage or equipment issues
• Managing customer accounts, including assisting with credit and collections
• Verifying customer insurance coverage
• Assigning repair work to vendors and company trailer mechanics
• Using technology to perform inventories, manage equipment, and complete other operational tasks
• Occasional paid travel to other company branches and Corporate Headquarters for New Employee Orientation, performance evaluations, and cross-training opportunities
• Promotions are based on qualifications, leadership ability, and branch needs rather than tenure
• Opportunities to train in Business-to-Business (B2B) Outside Sales and advance toward Branch Manager roles
