Key Responsibilities

You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst and be responsible for developing, reviewing, analyzing, standardizing and evaluating policies and procedures related to HR programs and systems. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Analyze existing and proposed legislation, regulations, and policies to determine their impact on agency programs, resources, and operations.

Prepare and deliver a variety of complex written documents and oral presentations, including reports, white papers, and briefings for senior leadership. Lead, coordinate, and manage special projects from development through completion, including scheduling, managing resources, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Influence and persuade management to accept and implement recommendations, especially when proposals involve substantial resources, changes to established procedures, or may be met with resistance. Serve as a liaison and point of contact between different organizational elements, including senior leadership, other base commands, and external stakeholders, to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Knowledge of federal human resources programs and processes is preferred.
