Job summary

UP Health System Bell is seeking an X-ray Technician III with Mammography expertise to join our team. The role includes varied shifts, a .8 FTE schedule, on-call and weekend rotations, and eligibility for a $7,500 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiological technology.
• ARRT registered or eligible (primary source verification).
• Certification in Ultrasound, CT, Mammography, and Dexascan.
• Additional Nuclear Medicine training preferred.
• Must work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per department protocols and standards.
• Conduct mammography quality control and quality assurance.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort.
• Operate radiology equipment for diagnostic exams and procedures.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and work area.
• Recordkeeping and scheduling support for ultrasound and patient flow.
• Adhere to safety policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Demonstrate core competencies annually or as requested.
• Carry out general radiography including film development and contrast media prep.
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures per NRC regulations.
• Comply with QA protocols for equipment and radionuclides.
• Execute CT exams with quality control and QA processes.
• Orient patients, obtain history and confirm informed consent.
• Transport patients as needed.
