Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Mammography Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centered care. Responsibilities include exam requisition review, patient positioning, image quality assessment, patient education, and collaboration with the radiology team to ensure safety and comfort.

You will rotate through modalities and participate in QA, billing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT, RT(R) in good standing.
• Mammography certification: RT(R) (M).
• Current state licensure required prior to employment.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training.

Responsibilities

• Review mammography requisition and forms to determine exam type.
• Accurately position patients and set exposure factors to obtain high-quality images.
• Review processed images for quality and need for additional images.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment and the exam.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after the exam.
• Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via CAD and PACS.
• Complete after-hours transmission of images and paperwork.
• Assist with policies, procedures, and compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Assist with instrument calibration and QA records.
• Perform equipment checks and notify engineering of malfunctions.
• Maintain exam rooms with supplies.
• Provide teaching and mentoring to new hires and students.
• Rotate through diagnostic imaging modalities and locations.

AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

ARRT RT(R) in good standing

Mammography Certification (ARRT)

Current state licensure

BLS certification
