This role specializes in breast imaging, providing direct patient care, including access and administration of medications within scope and legal boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast imaging procedures using ionizing and non-ionizing equipment, assist with Ultrasound-guided or Stereotactic biopsies.
• Follow ACR imaging guidelines to produce optimal radiographs.
• Educate patients about procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
• Communicate breast cancer risks and imaging information to patients.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement activities.
• Accurately document patient information and assist with follow-up.
• Train new staff and students in breast imaging techniques and quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Manage inventory supplies.

Qualifications

Licenses Required

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential (within 30 days of hire).
• Radiologic Technologist license in Utah.
• ARRT Mammography registration.
• Additional licenses as required by department.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stereotactic breast biopsy experience.
• At least three years of breast imaging experience.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and perform standing, walking, and other physical activities required in a healthcare setting.
