Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a skilled Mammographer to perform high-quality mammography exams and maintain imaging equipment. You will work under the Breast Imaging Manager, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support diagnostic excellence.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and education as part of a patient-centered environment. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of Mammography experience, ARRT/Mammography certification, and a Massachusetts license.

Qualifications

• Required Education Completion of a two-year, post-high school training program in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• MSRT/ARRT (Mammography) certification required upon hire.
• Valid Massachusetts State Radiology/Mammography License required upon hire.
• Requires knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography and the operation and maintenance of Radiologic equipment to include mammography.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mammography exams in accordance with established protocols to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate and maintain radiologic and mammography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients to address concerns, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable experience.
• Provide technical supervision and mentorship to staff technologists and students, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines.
