Mammography Technologist Opportunity!

$20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced candidates.

Summary

Provides quality care and meets customer expectations by utilizing advanced technical skills in Mammographic imaging.

Description

Follow ALARA principles, scan patients with appropriate exposure, and minimize repeats. Always wear radiation badges to track exposure. Verify pregnancy status and obtain waivers as needed. Document all repeat/rejected images properly.

Identify patients by name and DOB, introduce yourself, review prescriptions, and advise on exam preparation. Explain procedures, answer questions, and follow up as necessary.

Determine technical factors, position patients correctly, and utilize proper imaging parameters. Monitor and communicate with patients throughout the exam.

Respect appointment times, communicate delays, review and edit charge entries, and ensure accurate documentation in ADS workflow. Complete exams in PACS, verify prior exams, and provide images and reports for interpretation.

Update patient information, document exam reasons, and ensure shielding is used when applicable. Follow universal precautions and maintain a clean, disinfected work environment.

Maintain quality control standards, initiate equipment service requests, and participate in required procedures. Perform quality control tests and system reboots/shutdowns as per guidelines.

Recognize patient needs, respond promptly to emergencies, and locate necessary emergency equipment. Function in other modalities as requested and as skill level permits.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year Mammography experience (GE preferred)
• ARRT Certification in Radiography and Mammography (within 1 year)
• State License, CPR, and continuing education compliance
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and professionalism
• Computer proficiency in PACS, RIS, and tracking systems

Salary Range

$43.00 - $54.00 per hour, based on experience
