Job summary

Black Women’s Mental Health Institute is seeking a Mammography Technologist to support multiple imaging facilities within a regional float team. You will perform high-quality, safe mammography exams, prioritize patient comfort, and ensure image accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications and BLS.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, positioning, radiation safety and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
• Gather patient history, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Review images for quality, operate equipment safely, and maintain documentation standards.
• Adhere to infection control, QC testing, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, stocked environment and assist with training new team members.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members, and support emergency situations as needed.
