Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography to perform breast imaging procedures, ensure patient care, and maintain quality assurance standards in our Park East facility.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered Radiology Technologist with mammography advanced certification within 1 year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License and BLS certification from AHA or within probationary period.
• Effective communications and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging procedures utilizing dedicated breast imaging equipment for diagnosis.
• Provides appropriate age-specific patient care.
• Performs quality assurance appropriate for mammography.

• Location: METROHEALTH PARK EAST
• Biweekly Hours: 80
• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 5x8 hr shifts
• Start/End Time: 8a-4:30p
• Weekends: Rotating

Primary Skills Utilized/learned

• Performs breast imaging procedures utilizing dedicated breast imaging equipment for the diagnosis of breast cancer and diseases.
• Provides appropriate age‑specific patient care.
• Performs quality assurance appropriate for mammography.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in mammography within 1 year of employment
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or obtains within the standard probationary period
• Effective communications and good interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of job-related experience
• Previous experience in the use of computers dedicated to mammography equipment and special procedures.

Physical Requirements

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
