Job summary

The Mammography Technologist at Hartford HealthCare will perform diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures, with tomosynthesis and the potential to train in DEXA, stereotactic localization, and Contrast Enhanced Mammography.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiography program.
• CT State Radiographer's License required.
• ARRT (R) required; ARRT (M) preferred.
• Current x-ray and mammography experience highly preferred.
• Acute care experience and invasive procedures experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic mammography using tomosynthesis equipment.
• Assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment through imaging.
• Opportunity to train in DEXA, stereotactic/needle localization and CEM.

Summary:

The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures, according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. The Mammography Technologist operates digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and performs procedures. This will include x-ray and mammography with the opportunity to train in DEXA, stereotactic/needle localization procedures and Contrast Enhanced Mammography.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiographyprogram.
• CT State Radiographer's License required.
• ARRT (R) required - ARRT (M) preferred
• Current x-ray and mammography experience highly preferred.
