Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT is seeking Mammography Technologists to join a state-of-the-art Mammography suite, with Tomosynthesis GE Pristina units. Opportunities exist for those training in Mammography or with existing Mammography experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiography program.
• CT State Radiographer's License required.

• Acute care experience and experience with invasive procedures highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography procedures and operate tomo equipment.
• Cross-train in DEXA and additional mammography procedures.
• Assist physicians with imaging protocols and patient positioning.

Summary

The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures, according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment.

The Mammography Technologist operates digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and performs procedures. This will include x-ray and mammography with the opportunity to train in DEXA, stereotactic/needle localization procedures and Contrast Enhanced Mammography.

Qualifications
