Job summary

Johnson Memorial Health in Indiana is seeking a Mammography Technologist (POOL) to administer mammography procedures across modalities, ensuring patient comfort and accurate documentation in line with FDA and ACR guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification, an Indiana General license, and BLS/CPR with at least two years of radiology training; prior radiology experience is preferred. This PRN/POOL position is based in Greenwood/Franklin area with an as-needed schedule.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-high school education/training in an AMA approved School of Radiology with ARRT registry.
• Current Indiana General license required.
• Mammography certified by ARRT required.
• One year radiology experience preferred.
• BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Administers mammography procedures per department policy; functions in more than one modality/location.
• Provides patient care to ensure comfort and well‑being; addresses physiological and psychological needs.
• Prioritizes and completes daily assignments in a timely manner.
• Maintains thorough, legible documentation per FDA and ACR guidelines.
• Participates in charge capture and cost containment activities for the specialty.
• Keeps work area clean and stocked; operates equipment correctly; notifies supervisor of repairs.
• Participates in orientation, education, and student training.
• Suggests improvements for department operations and services; collaborates with team.
• Adheres to ALARA radiation safety principles.
• Performs other duties as required.
