Job summary

Seacrest Behavioral Health seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams under Radiologist supervision, delivering high-quality images with emphasis on patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include following ALARA principles, evaluating image quality, assisting with procedures, maintaining patient identification, and ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification: ARRT-M (Mammography), ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Minimum of 2 years in Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray or 1 year in Breast imaging preferred.
• Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and patient service.

Job description

Role Overview: The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams, providing essential data for physicians. Working under the supervision of a Radiologist and/or Manager, they ensure high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts Breast and Bone Density imaging following department protocols and ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Evaluates image quality, performs post-processing, and ensures accurate patient identification.
• Provides patient-centered care, addressing patient needs and promoting safety during procedures.
• Assists Radiologists with procedures and adheres to safety, aseptic techniques, and organizational policies.
• Performs additional duties as assigned, maintaining compliance with all policies and standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT-M (Mammography), ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Minimum of 2 years in Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray or 1 year in Breast imaging preferred.
• Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment, excellent communication, and patient service skills. Knowledge of Mammography positioning techniques and breast imaging equipment is a plus.
