Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is seeking a Mammography Technologist responsible for maintaining high-quality radiographic services and patient care within the Mammography department. The role requires ARRT registration, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and commitment to radiation safety and ALARA principles, with BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration and mammography certification within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality radiographs through proper positioning and technique.
• Perform safety inspections and report equipment or department issues.
• Use RIGS to enter orders, charges, and credits in the hospital system.
• Maintain radiation safety in accordance with policies and ALARA.
• Verify patient identity before procedures for outpatients and inpatients.
• Perform procedures as schedules require and rotate calls as needed.
• Attend hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services.
• Support flexible scheduling to ensure patient care.
• Report to Mammography Lead/Director; no direct reports.
